The Emirates Airline Dubai Football 7s will be held at the Emirates sports stadium, “7he Sevens” on the
Al Ain Road

Over 3000 players will represent 300 teams in 14 different sections of the tournament.

Football 7s is played on a reduced sized pitch, but with full sized goals, promoting attacking football and a high number of goal scoring opportunities.

Each of the three days of the event will have a distinctly different flavour, thus ensuring the weekend has something to appeal to everyone

• Thursday will be ‘Amateur Tournament’ day when up to 128 amateur teams go through their first qualifying
pool games.

• Friday will be ‘Family Day’ with the start of 6 age related tournaments, where up to 1000 children aged 7-18 will
compete, the remaining amateur tournaments start their schedules, while the main men’s amateur tournaments
get to semi final stage. On the main pitch, the professional event will start with pool games, interspersed with
Finals of the Under 9’s & 11’s junior tournaments. The Legends Tournament will also begin.

• Saturday, will feature the ‘Main Event’. In the morning, the ladies, vets and corporate teams will play their
remaining pool games, before playing their knockout games in the afternoon. On the main pitch, the
Professional and Legends tournaments get to the knockout stage. The scene is set for the Semi Finals and
Finals of all adult tournaments leading into the evening finale of the Legends and Professional tournaments.
